If you grew up with Mystery Science Theater 3000 like I did, you probobly already know about Rifftrax. Just in case, Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy (Tom Servo), and Bill Corbett (second Crow) from MST3K sell audio tracks of their jokes to pair with movies both big and small.
Tonight they're taking Rifftrax to theater and re-riffing one of the most horrible movies in the history of bad movies. Manos: The Hands of Fate. I can't wait! It's playing at a couple of theaters in town; I'm heading to the Franklin Park theater. Hope to see you there!
And to tide you over here is a cute girl reacting to Manos.
Caught this trailer before Batman last weekend. I'm interested to see what these guys will do with our old pal, Clark. They showed tweleve minutes of it at SDCC and a few people were moved to tears.
Still, I have doubts. I don't think America is in the mood for Superman. We want to see a regular human succeeding against overwhelming odds. There are no overwhelming odds for Superman.
Saw this one, too, and I hadn't even heard anything about this. Love James Franco, though, so I'll give it a shot.
Part of me is skeptical, thinking ahh it'll never work without Verheoven. It'll just be some neutered fluff action movie hoping to cash in on middle aged nostalgia.
But the rest of me is, WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
