According to a survey by Sodahead, one in four people have ripped something off from a grocery store.  Most of them took something that was worth less than $20...BUT...3% of people said they have shoplifted an item worth more than $100.  The most COMMON item to lift is food, candy or gum...followed by cosmetics.  Only 2% stole alcohol or cigarettes.  One in four seems like a pretty high number of thieves...and it doesn't even include everyone who SNEAKS SAMPLES of food prior to buying it. 36% of people admit to doing that.  And 23% of people said they'd keep the money if a cashier gave them the wrong amount of change.  People that do that are assbags in my opinion!!!  Eating grapes, cherries, peanuts and stuff from throughout the store to sample...which IS stealing...is one thing...but taking money that is NOT yours from a cashier is LOWLIFE!!!  Cashiers are human, and make mistakes.  I have been tossed change that was incorrect many times throughout my life, and corrected the error every time.  If I accept change from a $50 bill...when all I gave the cashier a $20...that makes the cashier's drawer short...and many places make the cashier cover the shortage.  If you can go home from a store with that on your conscience and feel good about it...please get some help from a professional...because that makes you a CRIMINAL when it's all said and done!!!
